الوحدة: النضج والصلاة
Tayammum, praying sitting and the ease of Islam.
Allah wants ease for you, not hardship (2:185). If you cannot find water, or water would harm you, you may do tayammum: strike clean earth with your hands, wipe your face and your hands, with the intention of purifying yourself (5:6). The details of tayammum vary between schools; ask your teacher to show you.
If you cannot stand because of illness, you pray sitting, and if you cannot sit, lying down (Bukhari 1117). When travelling, you may shorten the four-rak'ah prayers to two and can combine certain prayers, according to the rules of your school.
Islam never closes the door of prayer: it adapts it to your situation.
