الصاحب الصدّيق

Abu Bakr was the closest friend of the Prophet ﷺ and the first man to believe in him without hesitation. He was called as-Siddiq, "the one who always tells the truth", because he believed the Prophet ﷺ even when others doubted.

During the Hijra he accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and they hid in the cave of Thawr. Allah mentions it: "When he said to his companion: do not grieve, Allah is with us" (9:40). He spent his money for Islam and freed believers who were being tortured.

He is among the ten promised Paradise (Tirmidhi 3747). Lesson: be a true friend, and believe in what is right without waiting for the crowd.
