نص قرآني / حديث شريفIsa (Jesus) is one of the greatest messengers. His mother Maryam was a pure and devoted woman; Allah gave her a son without a father, by His command "Be" (3:45-47, 19:16-22). As a baby he spoke to defend his mother: "I am a servant of Allah; He gave me the Scripture and made me a prophet" (19:30).
By Allah's permission he healed the blind and the leper and brought the dead to life (3:49). He called his people to worship Allah alone. The Qur'an says he is not God or the son of God (5:72-75), and that he was neither killed nor crucified but Allah raised him to Himself (4:157-158).
Muslims love and honour Isa and Maryam; Maryam is the only woman named in the Qur'an, and a whole surah carries her name. Muslims believe he will return near the end of time.
