Ibn Abbas said: "The Prophet ﷺ was the most generous of people, and he was most generous in Ramadan, when Jibril met him" (Bukhari 6, Muslim 2308). Verse 2:261 compares spending for Allah to a grain that grows seven ears, each with a hundred grains. Generosity is not only money: it is time, a kind word, a skill or a smile. Today, decide an amount you will give daily in Ramadan, even a small one, and a person or cause that will receive it. Prepare it before iftar so that it is given while you are fasting.
