A short review: each prophet, his great moment and his lesson.
Well done! You have discovered eight prophets. Here is the summary:
• Adam: the first man. He asked for forgiveness, and Allah forgave him (7:23). Lesson: I ask for forgiveness when I make a mistake. • Nuh: he called his people for a very long time, then Allah saved him in the ark (11:37-44). Lesson: I stay patient. • Ibrahim: he broke the idols, and the fire became cool for him (21:69). Lesson: I tell the truth gently, even to my parents. • Yusuf: from the well to prison, then to the palace, and he forgave his brothers (12:92). Lesson: I forgive. • Musa: the sea split, and he spoke gently to Pharaoh (20:44; 26:63). Lesson: I trust Allah when I am afraid. • Yunus: inside the fish, he called on Allah (21:87). Lesson: I never lose hope. • 'Isa: he spoke as a baby and performed miracles by Allah's permission (19:30; 3:49). Lesson: I am good to my mother. • Muhammad ﷺ: the last prophet, a mercy for the worlds (33:40; 21:107). Lesson: I follow his example.
Did you know? The Qur'an names twenty-five prophets and messengers [À VÉRIFIER : liste retenue par le centre]. A Muslim believes in all the prophets, without making any distinction between them (2:285), and loves them all.
An idea for home: each evening, tell one of these stories to someone in your family, in your own words, and tell them the lesson you remember.
Take the quiz below. If you make a mistake, that is fine: go back to the story and read it again!
Understanding the lesson
Explanation Now that you know eight stories, look at what they have in common. All the prophets brought the same message. Allah says: "We sent no messenger before you without revealing to him: there is no god but Me, so worship Me" (meaning of 21:25).
They all met difficulties: people who mocked them, fear, sadness, separation. And they all answered in the same way: with patience, trust in Allah and dua. Adam asked for forgiveness, Nuh was patient, Ibrahim trusted, Yusuf forgave, Musa asked for help, Yunus called on Allah in the dark, 'Isa stayed humble, and Muhammad ﷺ was a mercy for all.
These stories are not only about the past: each one holds a quality you can live today.
Lessons to draw from it • Each week, I choose one prophet's quality and try to live it. • When I have a problem, I think of a prophet who went through a difficulty and what he did. • I love and respect all the prophets, without making any distinction between them.
Key points to remember • All the prophets called people to worship Allah alone (21:25). • A Muslim believes in all the prophets (2:285).
The main message All the prophets brought the same message: worship Allah alone and do good, with patience, trust and gentleness.
