Musa (Moses) was born in Egypt when Pharaoh was killing the baby boys of the Israelites. Allah inspired his mother to place him in a basket on the river; he was found by Pharaoh's household and raised in the palace (28:7-13).
As a young man, he fled to Madyan, married, and worked as a shepherd. At the sacred valley Tuwa, Allah spoke to him and sent him back to Pharaoh with his brother Harun (20:9-48). Pharaoh refused, claimed to be a god, and persecuted the believers.
Musa led his people out; Pharaoh pursued them. At the sea, Allah told Musa to strike it with his staff and it split (26:61-66). The people were saved and Pharaoh drowned. Lessons: the oppressor does not last, and Allah helps those who trust Him in their most hopeless moment.
