At school you meet many words. Here are the most useful ones.

مدرسة (madrasa) = school معلّم (mu'allim) = teacher (man) معلّمة (mu'allima) = teacher (woman) كتاب (kitaab) = book قلم (qalam) = pen دفتر (daftar) = notebook حقيبة (haqeeba) = bag سبّورة (sabbuura) = board

Practice: read the list three times, slowly first, then faster, and try to say each word without looking at the meaning. The first word revealed in the Qur'an is "Iqra", read! Reading is very important.
