The Prophet ﷺ used to make i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah took his soul (Bukhari 2025, Muslim 1172). Verse 2:187 mentions those who stay in the mosques. I'tikaf means staying in the mosque for worship: prayer, Qur'an, dhikr and dua. Scholars differ on details such as the minimum duration and rules for women; ask a qualified scholar for your case. If you cannot take a full retreat, you can make a shorter one: a few hours on a weekend, or switch off your phone for a quiet hour at home to reconnect.
