الوحدة: الكسب والمعاملات
Truth in weights, clarity in contracts.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The truthful, trustworthy merchant will be with the prophets, the truthful and the martyrs" (Tirmidhi 1209). Honesty in trade is a high rank.
Allah condemns cheating: "Woe to those who give less than due: when they take from people they take in full, but when they measure or weigh for them, they give less" (83:1-3). The seller must disclose defects. The Prophet ﷺ said: "The two parties to a sale have the option to cancel as long as they have not separated; if they are truthful and explain clearly, their sale will be blessed, and if they hide and lie, the blessing will be removed" (Bukhari 2079, Muslim 1532).
A contract needs mutual consent (4:29), clarity about price and goods, and no deception or harm. Schools of law and contemporary scholars differ on some practical details; this lesson gives the common principles and flags differences without settling them. For your own situation, consult a qualified scholar.
