Right between the verses on fasting, Allah says: "When My servants ask you about Me, I am near. I respond to the call of the caller when he calls on Me" (2:186). The Prophet ﷺ said: "The dua of any of you is answered if he is not hasty, saying: I made dua and it was not answered" (Bukhari 6340, Muslim 2735). Delay does not mean refusal; Allah may answer in another form. Today, write a short list of three duas for yourself, three for your family and three for the community, and decide a moment of the day, for example just before iftar, to make them.
