Sacred Citation & SourceThe Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever stands in prayer in Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his previous sins are forgiven" (Bukhari 37, Muslim 759). Verse 17:79 addresses the night prayer: "And from part of the night, pray with it as an extra for you." Scholars differ on the number of rak'at of taraweeh, and communities pray eight or twenty with witr; what matters is attending with presence of heart. If you cannot be at the mosque every night, pray at home, even two rak'at. Today, choose a realistic plan, such as taraweeh at the mosque on weekends and two rak'at at home on weekdays.
